Osloh - Movements (I & II). Tracks V & VI off EP1, August 24, 2014. Music & video editing by Edward Cavanough.

Osloh was a musical project active between 2013-2014, which culminated in the release of an independent record which I toured around Australia both as a solo artist and in an ensemble.

In 2014, I traveled and performed across the United States and in Iceland, re-arranging my music for my limited backpacker's arsenal of a baritone ukelele salvaged from a pawn shop in Portland, a beaten-up old MacBook, and a loop pedal.

The project fused my passions for film music, instrumental electronica, and the freedom of expression and improvisation allowed by free-jazz, with each piece of music played uniquely with every performance.

The EP, assembled over two years in my Adelaide bedroom, is a reflection of an earlier time — a sonic diary of the sounds, people, friends, and places that were an inspiration and influence throughout a formative period of life.

Highlights include opening for Canadian band BadBadNotGood, performing to an unexpecting (but warm) audience of country music lovers in New York, headlining a bill at the University of Iceland in Reykjavik, and the EP's single N/NW going into rotation on KEXP, one of America's leading radio stations.
